  • Wayne Cahill, Chair BHA, LLB, MCom, FCHSE, FAICD

    Wayne Cahill is a Director and Chair of The Co-Group. He was a long time corporate Partner at Ashurst/Blake Dawson. He is a Senior Consultant to the firm and also continues to head their Health and Aged Care Practice.

    He has a unique background in that he has also been CEO of major Australian healthcare organisations including the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards, Macquarie Area Health Services, Ryde Hunters Hill Area Health Service and Karitane.

    As a Company Director he is also Deputy Chair of Navy Health, a private health insurer, where he also chairs the Remuneration and Nominations Committee and is a member of the Audit Committee.

    He was Director and Chair of HealthDirect Australia, the major telehealth provider in Australia, from 2016 to 2021, having been appointment by the Australian, State and Territory Governments

    He was chair of ASX listed Homestay Care Limited in 2019 to 2020.

    He has served on the Boards of the Institute of Medical Resonance Research, Skin and Cancer Foundation, Australasian College of Health Service Management, HealthQuest and the Blake Dawson Partners' Superannuation Fund.

    He has also been voted by his Australian legal peers as an Australian Best Lawyer in the Annual Best Lawyer Awards which commenced in Australia in 2008, in the categories of Corporate Law and Health and Aged Care Law, each year in 2008 to 2023 inclusive.

    He is a winner of the ACHSE Gold Medal for outstanding services to the health industry and is also a life member of ACHSE.

  • David Herlihy BA, FAICD

    David has had a distinguished executive career including a number of senior roles at Capel Court Corporation Limited.

    In his capacity as chairman and director of various entities, he has overseen a broad range of matters including governance, funding, acquisitions and strategy.

    He has previously acted as a director of Godfrey Hirst Australia and various Paul Ramsay Group entities. He has also been deputy chairman of Craig Mostyn Holdings and chairman of the State Transit Authority of NSW and Sydney Ferries.

    His ASX experience includes acting as chairman of Mosaic Oil NL, Pro-Pac Packaging Limited and Fraser Range Holdings Limited. David holds a Bachelor Arts University of NSW and is a fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    He is chairman of the Commercial Travellers Association Limited and Commercial Travellers Business Club Limited. He joined The Co-Group Limited as Director in February, 2018

  • Peter McKendry B.Bus CPA, Executive Director, CEO.

    Peter McKendry has a history of success in the commercial and Not for Profit sectors. For nearly a decade, he has been engaged with the Disability and Aged Care.

    Over the past 5 years, Peter has consulted with over 80 Disability and Aged Care companies, offering financial and operational guidance during periods of rapid expansion. He has played a significant role in assisting these companies to become leading Providers within their geographic areas.

    Today, Peter serves as the CEO of The Co-Group Limited, a not-for-profit organisation specialising in consulting, outsource accounting, brokerage and labour hire services for the Disability and Aged Care Sectors. Under his leadership, The Co-Group Limited has flourished from a greenfield initiative into a significant enterprise within its first 5 years of operation.

    At the heart of The Co-Group's mission is a commitment to providing support to individuals with disabilities and aged people in need beyond the scope of government funding. Peter supports the organisation's innovative approach to utilising the technology and sector experience to deliver sound outcomes for both clients and workers alike.

    Peter was a Non-Executive Director of Mountain Biking Australia Ltd for over 10 years. He was part of the team that saw the re-unification of cycling into one national Australian body. This resulted in the consolidation of 19 separate Boards from 3 separate cycling bodies into a single entity now known as Cycling Australia. This was seen as a pioneering initiative serving as a model for many other sports. Cycling Australia now has significant Government co-operation to maximise health benefit opportunities to all Australians through cycling.

    Peter is an executive dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities and aged Australians. Peter is also the Executive Director of The Co-Group Limited.
